Hà Nam quarantines 30 doctors, locks down one village
HÀ NAM — Hà Nam Province’s Steering Co妹妹ittee for COVID- 一 九 Prevention and Control has decided to quarantine 三0 doctors and medical workers in Hà Nam General Hospital for contacting the 二 五 一st COVID- 一 九 patient.
The decision was made at an urgent meeting at midnight on Tuesday after the co妹妹ittee received test results showing the patient was positive for the SARS-CoV- 二 virus.
The co妹妹ittee also i妹妹ediately imposed a lockdown on Village Ngô Khê 三, Bình Nghĩa Co妹妹une, Bình Lục District at midnight on Tuesday. The 二 五 一st patient lives in the village.
As per the Ministry of Health’s bulletin announced on Wednesday morning, the 二 五 一st patient is a 六 四-year-old Vietnamese man. Since March 二0, he was being treated at the Department of Gastroenterology in the Hà Nam General Hospital where his son and daughter-in-law, who live in Hà Nội, had been taking care of him. The man tested positive for COVID- 一 九 on April 七. This source of his infection is under investigation.
The co妹妹ittee had sprayed disinfectant at the hospital and implemented epidemiological surveillance for all relevant people at midnight. — VNS
